WI FI HOT SPOT
A Wi-Fi hotspot is an access point which helps us access wireless broadband using a wireless enabled device. Wi-Fi Hot Spot refers to the IEEE 802.11 communications standard for Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs). To transmit and receive data at high speed, Radio Technologies are used in Wi-Fi Networks. It is based on three internet standards: 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g. 802.11a was first to reach the marketplace. It operates at 5 GHz and has the capacity to handle data rate up to 54 Mbps. It was followed by slower but less expensive 802.11b. 802.11b transmits at 2.4 GHz and go up to 11 Mbps. 802.11g has the cost advantage of 802.11b and speed advantage of 802.11a. Wi-Fi are used almost every field of life like home, small businesses, large corporations, health care etc. There are many advantages it provides such as ease of Installation, flexibility, cost, reliability, and security, use of unlicensed part of the radio spectrum, roaming and speed.
