Disc Brake System
In order to stop the car, disc brake system is the core system. Generally, it presents in all the four wheels, but in some cars it presents in the front wheels. Single-piston floating caliper is the most common type of a disc brake system. There are two types of disc brakes, ‘Mechanical disc brakes’ whose base of running is same as rim brake, ‘Hydraulic disc brakes’ which further have two parts, Single-piston floating caliper and Dual-piston floating caliper.
Now the question arises that how it works. Its working is very simple, the brakes convert the kinetic energy to heat energy, each time when the car is being stopped. But when the temperature gets too high and driver presses the brake pedal continually then brakes get failed. For this emergency brakes are there. Servicing of disc brakes is also necessary, when the metal piece in disc brakes starts creating sound. Disc brakes are inseparable part of the vehicle.
